Low Voltage Load Disconnect with Bluetooth
Protects the battery against excessive discharge and can be used as a system on/off switch. The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch.
The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it has insufficient power left to crank the engine. When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect any required engage/disengage levels can be set. Alternatively, one of nine predefined engage/disengage levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual).
The Smart BatteryProtect is a uni-directional device. It can only deal with current in one direction, so either current to a load, or current from a charger, but not both currents at the same time. In addition to this, current only can only flow from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. In case of use with a load, the battery connects to the IN terminal, and in case of use with a charger, the charger connects to the IN terminal.
The Smart BatteryProtect automatically detects system voltage one time only. Bluetooth: programming made easy When using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect any required engage/disengage levels can be set. Alternatively, one of nine predefined engage/disengage levels can be set with the programming pin (see manual). If required, Bluetooth can be disabled.
Victron Energy has a strong, unrivalled reputation for technical innovation, reliability, and build quality. Their products are widely considered to be a professional choice for independent electric power. Efficiently combining two or more distinct power sources is what they do best. Their products include sinewave inverters, sinewave inverters/chargers, battery chargers, DC/DC converters, transfer switches, battery monitors and more.

LOOKING FOR A 12V LITHIUM BATTERY CHARGER ADD ARDENT
Regarding DC-DC Chargers and solar controllers, you must change these to LiFePO4-specific models, which can charge your Lithium batteries to an entire 100% State of Charge. **If you are charging from an alternator, you will need a DC-DC Charger that is designed to manage solar specific to lithium (LiFEPO4).

In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS.
Note: the BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge interrupter in between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See the connection diagram in the manual.
This is important in the case of Li-ion batteries, especially after low voltage shutdown. Please see our Li-ion battery datasheet and the VE. Bus BMS manual for more information.
To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to overvoltage, the load is disconnected whenever the DC voltage exceeds 16.3V respectively 32.6V.
No relays but MOSFET switches, and therefore no sparks.
The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset disconnect level for more than 12 seconds. Starting the engine will therefore not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short circuit-proof open collector output to the negative (minus) rail, max. current 50 mA. The alarm output is typically used to activate a buzzer, LED or relay.
The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset level. If the battery voltage increases again to the connect threshold within this time period (after the engine has been started for example), the load will not be disconnected. The load will be reconnected 30 seconds after the battery voltage has increased to more than the preset reconnect voltage.
