If you need a battery for a larger inverter size, please please freecall our experts for the best advice or look at a larger battery size with a 200AMP BMS for more discharge.
** Lithium Batteries much like your phone battery are sent in a discharged state - so you must charge before their first use. A new battery has to be completely charged before first use for the optimal battery life and increased performance.
Through extensive cycle testing, we have determined that, after 4,500 complete discharge cycles in extreme conditions, our lithium batteries will have 85% battery life left. The average user not operating their battery in extreme conditions will have 90% battery capacity after 5,000 cycles. Battery voltage matters for a variety of reasons. Namely, it allows you to determine how much power your battery is capable of supplying, how much voltage you need for certain electronics, and even the charge state.
For a 12V system, we really want to emphasize reaching 14.2V – 14.6V for bulk and absorption and float to be 13.6V or lower. That means a 12-volt battery will boast a normal maximum voltage of 13.6 volts when fully charged. And even after discharging 10% of their nominal capacity, they still have 13.4 volts at resting voltage (a loss of only 0.2 volts).
