What is a 200AMP BMS ?
Unfortunately, our customers are too often burnt by cheap Lithium battery failures exposing themselves and their assets to harm. Most cheaper lithium battery competitors will only have a 50AMP BMS (Battery Managment System), which will not give Aussie customers the ideal battery use capacity. A high-quality BMS system should be rated 100AMP and above, and the BMS is essential to getting a quality lithium battery product and the key to your batteries long-term performance. It's a classic case of paying for what you get; the best quality lithium battery brands are the ones that cost money and have a superior size BMS and Australian Warranty. The Giant 340AH 12V Lithium Deep Cycle Battery is designed to replace deep-cycle AGM batteries. Lithium Batteries weigh only half of their AGM counterparts. In an emergency, this Australian-made lithium battery can be safely discharged to 100% DOD (Depth of Discharge), delivering twice the energy with a superior 200AMP BMS for maximum discharge capacity. A Giant 340AH Lithium deep cycle battery is also best used in various power applications such as power tools, medical devices, and security systems. Aside from recreational activities, Giant Lithium Batteries are perfect for backup power during an electrical blackout as with an added Ardent 12V Battery Box you get a backup power system.
Charging Your Lithium Battery
Giant Lithium Batteries don’t immediately need a special battery charger! Using your AGM battery charger is a temporary solution, not a permanent one. Wherever possible, a lithium battery should be charged using a charger with a lithium profile; the nominal charge voltage for a 12v AGM battery is 14.1-14.4V, which means that using an AC to DC AGM battery charger that does not have automatic desulfation or equalisation modes and set to use the AGM setting will work correctly. However, it will only get your lithium battery to 95% charged.
We Suggest The Ardent 12V Battery Charger:
Using a 240V AGM charger is a temporary option until you can get a lithium-specific charger . Giant batteries are manufactured with a built-in high-quality 200AMP (BMS) Battery Management System that allows for most charger settings (15A)minimum (except flooded) to be used.
DC-DC Charging For Lithium Batteries
Regarding DC-DC Chargers and solar controllers, you must change these to LiFePO4-specific models, which can charge your Lithium batteries to an entire 100% State of Charge. The advantage of using a LiFePO4 charge profile is that it allows users to get the total capacity out of their lithium battery, as the DC-DC LiFePO4 setting will prolong the battery life. You need a DC-DC charger to effectively manage the power input in a lithium battery. **If you are charging from an alternator, you will need a DC-DC Charger that is designed to manage solar specific to lithium (LiFEPO4).
** This Giant Power battery is ideal for up to a 2600W inverter. If you exceed this limit, it could damage the BMS Management inside the battery.

** Lithium Batteries much like your phone battery are sent in a discharged state - so you must charge before their first use. A new battery has to be completely charged before first use for the optimal battery life and increased performance.
How long do Giant Lithium Batteries last?
Through extensive cycle testing, we have determined that, after 4,500 complete discharge cycles in extreme conditions, our lithium batteries will have 85% battery life left. The average user not operating their battery in extreme conditions will have 90% battery capacity after 5,000 cycles. Charging and discharging your Giant Batteries every day would last you between 15 and 20 years.With a 5-year pro-rata warranty, our lithium batteries will keep you powered for years.
Battery voltage matters for a variety of reasons. Namely, it allows you to determine how much power your battery is capable of supplying, how much voltage you need for certain electronics, and even the charge state.
For a 12V system, we really want to emphasize reaching 14.2V – 14.6V for bulk and absorption and float to be 13.6V or lower. That means a 12-volt battery will boast a normal maximum voltage of 13.6 volts when fully charged. And even after discharging 10% of their nominal capacity, they still have 13.4 volts at resting voltage (a loss of only 0.2 volts).

We have installed our battery, & tried it for a few hours only, at this stage. But. Friends have recommended the Lithium Battery and they say it is an amazing benefit to your caravan.

Lithium Battery
I purchased the Giant 340ah lithium battery. It is a real powerhouse and handles running a lot of equipment and devices. Tip: ensure you have adequate charging ability. This is a big unit. But I run the Giant 95ltr dual zone fridge/freezer 24/7(that's a thirsty beast). Also, on weekend getaways, a tv, water pump, power tool batteries (through inverter) and multiple device charging. The 340ah has not let me down. Plus, I don't have to stress knowing the 5y warranty has me covered. Great product. Highly recommend Giant brand and the team at Aussie Batteries and Solar were easy and helpful.

Giant 340ah
So far I'm very impressed with the batteries! They arrived to my doorstep beautifully packaged and in good condition! Once fully charged they have been operating smoothly and seem to hold charge very well! My only minor problem is with the app! Apart from giving the state of charge it doesn't really do anything! So far I love them
